Happy Friday, dear readers!  This week has been so full and the weekend will be just as busy, but with lots of love and joy.  Jimmy graduates tomorrow, so friends and family will be celebrating with us all weekend.  We will have a full house Saturday night as we toast our favorite law school graduate.  

I've been a little under the weather the past few days so a dress like this would be perfect right now.  And this piece of art would look ridiculously awesome above our fireplace or over a console table.  I'm really starting to embrace everything spanish inspired, if you can't already tell.  Have a beautiful weekend!

Today Jimmy and I celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.  In so many ways it feels like we just got married, but we have been through so much together that sometimes it feels like I can't remember what it was like not being married.  We've been together through college and law school, through losing loved ones and gaining neices and nephews and through big life decisions.  But one of the best things we get to go through together is the day to day...those are really some of the sweetest times.  We're not perfect and never will be, but this process called marriage is helping us learn to love deeply, and I am grateful to have my heart refined in this relationship of sharing life together. Happy Anniversary, Jimmy.  You are my best friend and my love forever.

Here we are four years ago at the greatest party ever.

One thing I loved about our wedding day, which is consistent with our personalities, is that the whole day was super relaxed.  No stress, just fun.  Jimmy wore a khaki suit from J.Crew with a pair of navy Jack Purcels. He has excellent taste in clothes, by the way.

Our wedding was held at Laguna Gloria here in Austin.  It's an extension of the Austin Museum of Art and is just about the prettiest place in town. I love how our photographer Stacy captured this shot of the venue...it's so dreamy. 

And here we are just last week, devouring cupcakes together.  Have I mentioned that not only is Jimmy hot stuff, but he is the greatest at making me laugh?  

Soft neutrals make for today's warm and soothing color inspiration.  I'm such a sucker for creamy tones.

Happy Monday, my friends!  This is an exciting week for us around here. Today is Jimmy's last final ever in law school.  Wednesday we're celebrating our 4th anniversary.  Saturday Jimmy graduates.  My goodness, where has the time gone?  Jimmy and I were young when we were married, I was 23 and he was 21.  He had just finished his junior year of college (crazy, right?).  Ever since we have been married, Jimmy has been in school, and now this season of life that we've been in is coming to a close.  We're moving across Texas in a few months, Jimmy will be an attorney and I'll be starting my business in a brand new place.  We couldn't be more excited about what's ahead, and today the celebration begins.  

On a totally different note, how amazingly fun is this space that was featured in The Selby?  I thought it fit today's celebratory mood quite well.

Happy Friday, friends!  Do you want to hear some wonderful news?  Remember how I told you about the spanish style house we've been hoping to buy in El Paso?  Well, we got it!  We will officially close next week, but we are under contract and very, very excited.  

As you can probably imagine, with all the excitement surrounding the new house, my design mind has been going design crazy. Does anyone else get the same way? For me, a new space means a fresh start in so many ways.  I'm pinning like mad over on Pinterest, hoping to collect all my ideas into one place.  I'm also really glad I've been creating these wish lists.  I have a feeling when it's time to shop for the house, I can come right back here and look at all the pieces that I love.  Like this Acapulco chair...I will definitely have one of these in my new casa.

I've been wanting to post this look for a while now, but I wanted to get it exactly right.  After searching through tons of images I think I have two beautiful examples of how to wear socks with open-toed wedges. It's a little bit different, I know...but I think it's completely charming.  What I love about these two looks is that they are worn with classic and feminine dresses, which brings a perfect balance to whole ensemble.  What are your thoughts?  Have you worn this look before?

Pink is the color of the day, and this shirt coupled with this little nook make for one beautiful couple that is stealing my heart away.

How fresh and fun is this mix of bright red and aqua blue?  It makes me want to throw on my bikini and head straight to the pool.

Happy Monday! How was your weekend, dear friends?  Jimmy and I are in the long, slow process of touching up here and there around our house so that it will be ready to put on the market in a few weeks.  So we spent the day yesterday painting our guest bedroom.  Am I the only one that hates painting?  It's one of the easiest things you can do to update your decor, but the prep work and clean up sure is a pain.  All that being said, it makes a huge difference and our room looks great!  

We love to start the week with some pretty little things around here, so let's take a breath before the fun begins and enjoy these small beauties.
